Weeze Cullen is the former chairman of the College and Career Center at Winter Park High School in Winter Park, and an independent college consultant at First Choice College Consultants. Weeze received a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Florida and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida (UCF). Weeze worked in Georgia and Florida as an English and debate teacher for 10 years. She then worked as an adjunct professor in the UCF College of Education before transitioning over to college counseling.
In order to stay current in the ever-changing world of college admissions, Weeze consults amongst and establishes contacts with over 100 college admissions representatives each fall, participates in numerous college counselor workshops and webinars, visits college campuses each year to gain first-hand knowledge, reads and evaluates nearly 100 Gates Scholarship essays nationwide each winter, and works with hundreds of students in gaining college acceptances and finding scholarships to the country’s elite private and public schools, small liberal arts colleges, and state schools. Weeze is also a member of NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling). Additionally, Weeze mentors and counsels numerous, first-generation college bound students throughout the college admissions process.
In her spare time, Weeze keeps busy with her four children and husband, participating in their various sporting and music-related activities, she enjoys travel, growing orchids, and exercising with friends.
